Charter airline, Omni Air International (private), is to be acquired for $845M by Air Transport Services Group (ATSG). Omni Air will operate as a subsidiary within ATSG and continue to be led by current CEO, Jeff Crippen. “We have tremendous respect for the ATSG team”, Crippen said as he welcomed the takeover and described it was a strong strategic fit. With the acquisition of Omni Air, ATSG’s fleet will expand to more than 90 aircraft. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018 and is subject to regulatory approval. ATSG was advised by Goldman Sachs and Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP with financing by Suntrust Robinson Humphrey. BDT & Company and Conner & Winters LLP acted as financial and legal advisers respectively for Omni Air.
